Nicole Hasthorpe
Nicole is a Melbourne based artist who studied Visuals Arts at Monash University and calls the seaside suburb Elwood her home. Nicole has enjoyed a long and successful career as a photographer working in both the fashion and interior design industries before transitioning to her current role as Art Director for fashion retailer 'Factory X' which includes Aussie labels such as Gorman.
Being lucky enough to have lived abroad, Nicole continued her fine art studies (painting) in Singapore in 2017 and since moving back home has juggled a work, artist and family life balance and also currently studying Art Therapy.
Her new collection and passion for ceramics was born after a Gorman homewares photoshoot in a ceramics studio where she fell in love with the art form. She also recently inherited a kiln along with her artist talents from her late Grandmother ‘little Nan’ who was also a painter and potter. Nicole has been creating her bespoke hand built pottery ever since.
